The Battle of Britain is still a fight against the raging bulls

Everyone in the media is assuming British champions Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button are going to take each other out of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone this weekend.

McLaren's champion's haven't fallen out yet: there's no reason Silverstone should be different. Credit:

But there’s no clear reason why. The pair are working well together at McLaren and have done all season. They’re both talented racing drivers who know how to get the job done without having an accident.

The biggest thing either of them has to worry about this weekend remains the raw pace of the Red Bull. McLaren seem uncertain about their upgraded package and are leaving it to the drivers to test it on Friday in practice. If the Woking squad don’t have the blown diffuser working, it seems pretty far fetched to think they will be competitive on the fast Silverstone circuit.

It’s going to be an exciting weekend and hopefully the revised track will make for an exciting race. Red Bull could very well run away with it and that would be an awful shame. But it’s certainly unpredictable at this point.
