Off we go again…

Testing is around the corner, the race seats are all but filled up and the first practice session in Bahrain is fast approaching.

And Coffee Powered Racing will be here for a second season, shortly with a new look to boot.

This year the blog is going to the British Grand Prix in July for the first time and who knows what the state of the race will be by then.

For 2011 has everything 2010 did and then some. With new Pirelli tyres and a raft of other regulation changes, there is no way to know who will be in front.

The Red Bulls must start favourite: Adrian Newey was still well ahead on the technical front at Abu Dhabi in November. And Sebastian Vettel will be out of the blocks like lightning in defence of his title.

And yet, Fernando Alonso is very much talking the talk. While the McLaren squad appear quietly confident, as ever at this time of the year. Michael Schumacher has a lot still to prove about his comeback in the Mercedes – and we saw in 2009 how good Ross Brawn’s team is at exploiting new rules.

Only one thing seems certain: we can have no idea how it will play out.
